Lockdown Fitness Instructor

Melinda Hinchcliffe, from Colchester, is a fitness instructor who has been providing online classes, in exchange for charitable donations, during periods of lockdown to help people stay active.
Alongside her fitness sessions, Melinda has also been hosting regular online quizzes to keep her community connected.
Melinda was presented with her award by her local MP for Colchester, Will Quince (pictured).
In a personal letter to Melinda, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said:
“I was delighted to hear about your free virtual fitness sessions which are improving the physical and mental wellbeing of the people of Colchester.
“I also want to congratulate you on the success of your online quizzes which are a fantastic way of keeping people connected while fundraising for charity.”
