Micah has managed the centre for the past seven years, a community space that provides food, drink, and companionship in a warm and friendly environment on a weekly basis. Micah also runs the centre’s outreach programme which signposts support services and legal advice to thousands of homeless people across South London.

In a personal letter to Micah, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said:

“I know you do this with no thought of praise or reward, but allow me to offer my own recognition of how you have helped thousands of people with meals, advice and support. Your sheer determination and dedication has made the ‘Brixton Soup Kitchen’ what it is today.”
