John Chiti, representing Zambia, aged 37, is a musician, UN Goodwill Ambassador and the country’s leading advocate for people with Albinism who set up the ‘Albinism Foundation of Zambia’ to campaign for equal treatment and provide support for those diagnosed with the condition.

30,000 people are estimated to with Albinism in Zambia, with many experiencing discrimination due to cultural myths and misunderstanding, but through his platform as a bestselling artist and person with albinism, John has used his the power of music to change attitudes towards people with the condition and break down stigma.

John said:
