1874. Shanea Oldham
Shanea Kerry Oldham, aged 20, from London, set up ‘Your Life More Life’, after losing a friend in 2017 to youth violence, to raise awareness of the issue and help young people feel safe and confident in their local communities.
Through the initiative, Shanea has organised Red Cross first aid training for 400 teenagers in her borough so that they would know what to do if they ever came across someone who had been stabbed. She also runs drop-in sessions, arts projects and volunteering opportunities for local young people.
