Everything’s 13

673. Jagraj Singh

Jagraj Singh is a prominent Sikh community engagement leader and former member of the Armed Forces who set up his own charity to engage young Sikhs in their faith and the wider community about the religion.

Everything’s 13’ has become a wide-ranging umbrella organisation delivering educational resources for Sikhs and non-Sikhs alike, support for young Sikh families and a press association to provide credible spokespeople and trusted information to the mainstream media.

In a personal letter to Jagraj, Prime Minister Theresa May said:

“Your important work is doing much to positively engage both young Sikhs and the wider community with your faith. You are inspiring those of all faiths and none to make a difference with their lives.”

A spokesperson for Everything’s 13 said:

“We thank Points of Light for their recognition of Jagraj Singh’s volunteer work. In the early stages of the charity, Jagraj was spending the few hours free he had in between work and family life to help create Everythings 13.

The Points of Light Award has previously had many prestigious winners who have contributed a lot to British society, so it is an honour for Jagraj Singh to be mentioned amongst so many selfless people. We hope that the UK government will back the many other great Sikh projects that are also deserving of recognition.

We would like to thank those who have shown us support from the very beginning, which is the greatest award of all. Finally, most of all we must thank Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, without whom we would not be able to do anything at all. Once again, we thank you all for your support and hope to continue to receive it as we endeavour to spread Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj’s message across the world.”

The daily Points of Light award recognises outstanding individual volunteers - people who are making a change in their community.
