Launched in December 2018, ‘Apart Of Me’ received over 70,000 downloads within 6 months, providing free grief counselling to thousands of young people in the UK and worldwide.

Louis was presented with his award by his local MP for Lambeth, David Lammy (pictured below).

In a personal letter to Louis, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said:

“I know you do this with no thought of praise or reward, but allow me to offer my own recognition of how you have created innovative, accessible grief counselling which has supported thousands of young people in the UK and abroad.”

Louis said:

“I am grateful to have received this recognition on behalf of the amazing team including many brilliant and courageous young people who have transformed their grief into creative, compassionate action in the world. ‘Apart of Me’ is mainly run by volunteers, and so I am particularly grateful to them.”
